Job Description

Inspired Flight is seeking a dedicated and skilled Fleet Technician to join our team full-time. The Fleet Technician will be responsible for managing and maintaining our internal fleet of aircraft, payloads, and batteries used for rentals, demos, and events.

This role ensures that all equipment is kept in ready-to-fly condition, performing necessary repairs and upgrades, and coordinating asset allocation with the Flight Operations Manager.

This position is at the core of the flight operations team at Inspired Flight and will be part of a rapidly growing company in the growing UAV industry. Lots of upward mobility available for this role!

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and service internal fleet aircraft, payloads, and batteries to ensure they are in optimal condition. Perform repairs and upgrades as necessary.
• Quality Control: Conduct QC checks for incoming and outgoing assets, tracking vehicle configurations, status, and conditions. Save flight logs and pictures to respective vehicle folders.
• Asset Coordination: Allocate fleet assets and coordinate with the Flight Operations Manager to ensure all outgoing equipment is tracked correctly, and incoming assets are documented and updated.
• Functional Testing: Test all setups and configurations to ensure full functionality before deployment.
• Troubleshooting: Assist the Customer Success team by testing customer issues and providing solutions for support tickets.
• Technical Skills: Utilize Ardupilot skills for log review and parameter checks.
• Collaboration: Report to the Flight Operations Manager and assist other departments as needed.
• Asset Tracking: manage and track fleet assets effectively.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of manufacturing or assembly work experience
• Experience preferably in the following industries: aviation, aerospace, defense sector
