This multifaceted role combines engineering talent with client interaction. You'll engage customers and prospects in a consultative manner, understanding their unique needs and applications. Your insights will shape development requirements, driving the creation of top-tier solutions seamlessly integrated with Inspired Flight systems. Collaboration will be key, as you'll closely interface with our sales, solutions engineering, and integrations teams.

Typical responsibilities:
Multi-disciplinary projects including design, development, testing, and documentation
Manage multiple projects in parallel or series dependent on priorities
Consult with existing and prospective customers to identify customer requirements, create a development plan, and execute the development of the solution
Collaborate with the Sales Team on opportunity qualification, demonstrations, proof-of-concept presentations, RFP responses, and business justification in a presales capacity
Analyze to determine the best path for solving business problems/opportunities that may include process improvement, systems enhancement, user training on Inspired Flight’s Products
Assist with additional engineering projects in other departments across the company
You’ll excel in this role if you have:
Prior experience with a UAS manufacturing company
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical (wiring), and firmware engineering
Experience preferably in the following industries: aviation, aerospace, defense sector
Exceptional communication skills, including demonstrated experience in delivering solutions proposals to executive-level stakeholders
Thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment with superior organizational and time-urgency skills
Ability to travel domestically and visit customers approximately once per quarter dependent upon the business opportunity
Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent discipline is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
3-5 years of field experience in a similar role
You must be able to obtain a Part 107 UAV pilot’s license within your first six months
