IGC 1.5.1 Update: Performance, Stability, and Workflow Improvements
An update to Inspired Ground Control (IGC 1.5.1) has been released. This update focuses on enhancing reliability in the field and streamlining key parts of the workflow. Operators are encouraged to update to the latest version to benefit from these improvements. Step-by-step instructions and guidance can be found in our
IFT Knowledge Base: How to Install IGC.
This update addresses known issues from previous versions while improving how missions, geotagging, and system interactions function across both IF800 Tomcat and IF1200 platforms.
What’s New
Expanded Geotagging Capacity
Previous versions of IGC limited the geotagging tool on Herelink controllers to a maximum of 500 images per mission. This has now been increased significantly:
Up to 4000 images on Herelink
More than 4000 images on GS-ONE
This enhancement allows for longer mapping missions without reaching geotagging limits mid-flight.
More Consistent Mission Handling
The latest update brings several improvements to mission handling:
Mission files can now be used seamlessly across IF800 and IF1200 without compatibility issues.
Uploading a mission now preserves all mission details instead of reducing them to individual waypoints.
Missions transferred via SD card or USB can now be uploaded and flown across platforms while maintaining full structure and settings.
Smoother Operations in the Field
This update also addresses operational efficiency:
The HDMI output lag issue has been resolved on affected configurations.
NTRIP profiles are now saved to your Elevate account for quicker setup across controllers.
Joystick profiles are now saved to your Elevate account, enabling faster setup across your IFT fleet.
Improved Update Experience
The update experience has been streamlined:
The “Get Latest IGC App Version” option in settings now checks for required updates and simplifies the update process.
Fixes & Improvements
The IGC 1.5.1 update includes several important fixes and improvements:
Enhanced geotagging reliability for Sony LR1 workflows.
Resolved mission upload error (“Geofence Transfer Failed”) on Herelink.
Improved OTA update reliability for future versions of IGC.
Overhauled user authentication system with improved reliability and clearer login feedback.
