We’re closing out the year with the final issue of IFT Quarterly Magazine, highlighting the research missions and engineering insights that defined 2025. From coastal mapping to precision agriculture, this issue captures how Inspired Flight systems empower professionals to turn data into discovery.

What’s Inside

Using Multispectral Data to Enhance Early-Stage Crop Management

A detailed look at how the IF800 Tomcat paired with Sentera’s 6X Multispectral sensor helped capture critical crop data at Babe Farms in Santa Maria, California. Through NDVI and CIG analysis, researchers gained insight into plant health, nitrogen levels, and stress indicators — driving smarter, more sustainable decisions in precision agriculture.

Surveying the Sand with IF1200 and YellowScan

Researchers from the University of New England used the IF1200 with a YellowScan Mapper+ LiDAR system to track dune and shoreline changes along Maine’s coast. The project demonstrates how secure, NDAA-compliant U.S. platforms deliver centimeter-level accuracy for long-term environmental monitoring and coastal resilience studies.

Spotlight: Tyler VanDenBerg

From early prototypes at Cal Poly to leading engineering at Inspired Flight, Tyler shares lessons learned from the field, the story behind innovations like the Pro Damping Kit, and what reliability truly means in the next generation of American-made drones.

Support and Training Q&A

This section answers common operator questions, covering the launch of the GS-ONE Ground Control Station, cold-weather flight tips, preventive maintenance, and the benefits of the Inspired Suite and Inspired Care programs.
